Since 1993 our owner, Greg Smolik, has been instilling in our staff to treat a prospective customer like one’s own family member. We value providing a solution with a product, a rental item, or a service to a customer or a nurse or caregiver where the outcome is a positive one.

Our History
In September 1993, our owner, Greg Smolik, founded a medical supply distribution company that served nursing homes. Various industry changes brought about the need to enhance our business model. We adapted to focus on providing less distribution and provide solutions for individuals living at home or independent and assisted living centers. That change came about in 2008 and today, our staff are customer service specialists who take pride in helping you choose the right cane, reacher or any other of the 4000 products we sell. Our staff are very knowledgeable and can even (in local area) offer free at-home evaluations on certain mobility or accessibility items.
Our product line now includes wheelchair ramps, stairlifts, motorized scooters, lift chair recliners, bathroom safety, ceiling and patient lifts, hospital beds, manual & power wheelchairs, aids to daily living items and so much more.
We still offer nitrile & vinyl gloves, incontinent items, as well as everyday medical supplies. We value the relationships we have developed with many of our customers – some for many years. You become like family and we hope what we do provides fulfillment of your needs while we do it with a smile.
In 2020 our company began offering PPE items for Covid-19. In 2015, we launched a new venture in starting our Accessibility Division. We added to our line adding bathroom modifications and door openers in 2021. This further strengthened our Access core products of wheelchair ramps, stairlifts, vertical platform lifts, ceiling lifts and scooter lifts on vehicles.
And so here we are today in 2025, providing quality solutions to rent, to purchase and help aging seniors, developmentally challenged or even the occasional need for a customer who needs a knee brace or orthopedic item.
Best Solutions Home Medical Equipment & Supplies (BSM) is a family owned company. Our target markets include both Independent and Assisted Living Markets. After an installation or delivery of an item like a ramp, scooter, electric bed, stairlift, etc, we ask “How did we do.” This survey allows to gain valuable input on our customers’ experience with us.
